German DJ and producer Oliver Koletzki continues to build anticipation for his upcoming album, ‘12’, with the release of the third single, “Petrichor.” The track has been described as an emotionally resonant glimpse into the album’s sonic world.
The title “Petrichor” comes from the Ancient Greek word for “the earthy scent that follows rainfall.” Koletzki shared insights into his creative process on Instagram, noting that he combines popular plugins such as Omnisphere, Serum, Arp 2600, along with analog synths like Moog, to craft the track’s distinctive textures.

“Petrichor” follows previously released singles “I Don’t Need Your Love,” “La Hora de Mosquitos,” and “Trip With Me”, featuring German artist Frida Darko. While 12 largely showcases Koletzki’s solo productions, the album will also feature one more collaboration with Frida Darko.
The single unfolds with warm textures, subtle movement, and cinematic depth, capturing the emotional nuance inspired by the scent of rainfall. Its restrained yet immersive arrangement draws listeners gently into the album’s broader atmosphere.
Koletzki will perform this March at Smolna 38 in Warsaw, Poland, on March 20, followed by Stil vor Talent’s label showcase at Ritter Butzke in Berlin on March 21.
