Paul van Dyk surprises his fans once again, this time with a unique collaboration—“Shed Your Light”—alongside London’s DJ/Producer Paul Thomas and artist EKKO. Out now via Berlin’s VANDIT Records, the track follows his previous release, “Seven Seas,” a collaboration with Fuenka.
Both singles will be featured on his upcoming album, The World Is Ours, which will be released later this year.
The collaboration came together when Paul discovered a promo track from EKKO. Instantly drawn to her captivating voice and poignant lyrical delivery, he knew he had to work with her.
The single kicks off with a rolling bassline, dreamy synths, and a pounding kick drum. As the track progresses, the bass intensifies, perfectly complementing EKKO’s enchanting vocals and a mesmerizing breakdown.
Alongside the release, Paul van Dyk played at The Magic Stick in Detroit on Friday (Mar. 14), followed by a performance today (Mar. 15) at Ember Music Hall in Richmond.
