The wait is finally over! The highly anticipated album This World Is Ours by Paul van Dyk is out today via VANDIT Records. Ever since he collaborated with Fuenka on “Seven Seas,” Paul has kept his fans hooked for months.
Initially teased for a March release, the album was postponed to April, but we’re thrilled that it’s finally here.
With 30 singles and collaborations from 31 artists, this album is one of the most collaboration-heavy and expansive releases we’ve seen from Paul.
The music itself reflects this theme. Tracks like “Two Rivers” contrast human emotions with electronic sounds, while titles like “Against The Algorithm” and “Back 2 The FVTR” offer lyrical reflections on technology’s influence on society.
Collaborations with artists like John 00 Fleming, FUENKA, Sue McLaren, and many others deepen the album’s exploration of AI’s impact on our future.
A particularly poignant moment comes with “The Poem,” the album’s final track, where Paul delves into AI-generated creativity. By prompting AI to write a poem about the sea with a positive outlook, Paul crafted a deeply emotional piece that showcases the uncanny ability of AI to mimic human expression.
In celebration of the album’s release, Paul is currently on tour with This World Is Ours. Today, he’ll be performing at Inkognito in Celle, Germany, followed by a show at Transmission in Arnhem, Netherlands, on Saturday.
