French duo Polo & Pan release a new EP ‘Carrossel Do Tempo’ as an intended goal of broadening their horizons.

Since 2013, French DJs Polo & Pan dazzled the world with their brand of high life-infused music dubbed “French Touch”. EPs and albums like ‘Rivolta‘, ‘Caravelle‘, and ‘Cyclorama‘ helped build the matured, sun-kissed hedonism that shaped the duo’s breezy music. These releases led to performance slots at Coachella and Lollapalooza, gold-certified albums, and over 3 million monthly Spotify listeners. However, recently, Polo & Pan felt the desire to broaden their sonic horizons and try other sounds. Experiments like that led to the creation of “Carrossel Do Tempo”, the duo’s latest EP, released on Ekleroshock/Hamburger/Virgin Records.

Carrossel Do Tempo‘, as mentioned, sees Polo & Pan try out various sounds from other countries to expand their reach. Of course, each track starts with a near-minimalistic beat as the foundational first layer and maintains a solid groove. A psychedelic vibe washed over each track as well, leading to a warm breezy atmosphere, perfect for beaches and rooftops. ‘Carrossel Do Tempo’ and ‘Charanga’ also contain vocals sung in different languages, while ‘Chamallow’ and ‘Nagori’ are performed in English. Overall, ‘Carrossel Do Tempo’, the EP, provides the perfect soundtrack for lounging in the hot sun in the great summertime.

While summer may be over, Polo & Pan continue to make lush, bright tunes to get a golden tan to. In the end, everybody loves to have fun in the sun every once in a while.
