London-based producer DJ Meoz is gearing up to release his new two-track EP, The Plug / Metamorphic, this Friday, June 19, via U.S. imprint Routine Espresso Recordings. Today, we are premiering one of its highlights, “Metamorphic,” offering an exclusive first listen below.
DJ Meoz, born Mirko, developed his passion for electronic music through the sounds of 90s techno and the rapidly evolving dance scene of the early 2000s. After years of refining his craft behind the decks, he expanded into music production in 2019, developing a sound that bridges classic influences with contemporary progressive electronic music. His catalog includes releases on respected labels such as Polyptych, 3rd Avenue, MNL, Movement Recordings, Sound Avenue, and Freegrant Music.
His released music on labelsl ike Polyptych, 3rd Avenue, MNL, Movement Recordings, Sound Avenue, Freegrant Music, and others.
“Metamorphic” showcases DJ Meoz’s knack for building momentum through groove and atmosphere. The track opens with a punchy kick drum, layered percussion, a rolling bassline, and crisp rhythmic elements before gradually introducing open-filter synths and dynamic melodic accents. A lengthy breakdown shifts the focus toward modular-inspired sequenced synth work, creating tension before the track returns with renewed energy and drive.
The Plug / Metamorphic is out June 19 via Routine Espresso Recordings. Pre-order the release here, and enjoy an exclusive first listen below.
