Philipp Ortner, known by his stage name HiiRO, has been a fixture in the electronic music scene for over 20 years. He began his journey as a DJ back in 1999 under the name Philipp Ort and started producing music five years later, which eventually led to the launch of his own imprint, Pins and Needles, in 2011.
Drawing inspiration from nature’s raw energy, HiiRO masterfully blends eclectic melodies with powerful vocals to create immersive sonic experiences.
His latest track, “I Want to Lose Control,” introduces haunting vocals layered over rolling basslines, punchy kick drums, and crisp claps. The track unfolds with shuffling hi-hats and a peak breakdown, delivering a dynamic and captivating sound.
