Canadian artist Jares is preparing to release his Darkest Night EP via the UK record label Nightcolours, due this Friday, Dec. 5. The EP features two original tracks from Jares alongside remixes by Berni Turletti and Tomas Briski. We’re excited to premiere “Pressure” from his forthcoming EP—get an exclusive first listen below.

Based in Montreal, Jares has delivered a steady stream of releases on respected labels such as Katermukke, Mango Alley, 3000 Grad Records, Einmusika Recordings, Beatfreak Recordings, and more. His sound merges ethereal atmospheres with orchestral touches and progressive sensibilities. Following a successful summer tour, he’s now back in the studio refining his signature style.

“Pressure” is another standout addition to his impressive release schedule. Organic drums fuse with a brooding bassline, crisp textures, and noisy hats, while haunting synths and shadowy undertones drive the track forward. That’s what makes “Pressure” a single you can’t miss out.

“Pressure” from the upcoming Darkest Night EP is out this Friday, December 5. Pre-order the release here and enjoy an exclusive first listen below.
