Sweden-based duo MLiR team up with London producer Laurence Guy for new single “Ya Ol’ Raisin,” set for release tomorrow, June 30, as part of Homies Vol. 3, the third installment of the Homies compilation series celebrating 10 years of the label. The compilation features fourteen tracks from various artists. Today, we are premiering one of its highlights, “Ya Ol’ Raisin,” offering an exclusive first listen below.

MLiR is the Swedish duo consisting of Marco Gegenheimer and Einar Christoffersson. The project first broke through in 2016 with the Swedish Lo-Life EP on Studio Barnhus, built on deep-digging DJ culture, long studio sessions, and a blurred line between electronic production and live expression. In 2024, they released their debut album Pulpo Fiction, a 16-track double LP on the same label, further developing their long-form, exploratory approach.

Marco Gegenheimer also runs Taf Kif Records with Arnau Obiols and Smutty Edits with Tom Bolas and Dea Barandana. He has performed at clubs and festivals including Zodiac (Jakarta), Savage (Hanoi), Nitsa (Barcelona), Dekmantel, Dekmantel Selectors, Wonderfruit, and Rainbow Disco Club’s Ho Chi Minh City takeover. He also curates the long-running Calamari Rolls Royce party at The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. Looking ahead, 2026 brings a series of new projects, including an upcoming LP on Stratasonic Records, collaborations, and multiple label releases.

“Ya Ol’ Raisin” moves through shifting rhythmic ideas and textures, opening with a driving 4/4 pulse and dystopian synth tones before unfolding into breakbeat-led sections. Glowing chords, organic percussion, and flute-like melodic details shape the track’s atmosphere, later alternating between breakbeat energy, disco-leaning basslines, and a steady 4/4 groove.

Homies Vol. 3 is out June 30. Pre-order the release here, and enjoy an exclusive first listen below.
