United States producer and DJ Roland Clark has released his new single, “The DJ Stole My Soul,” out now via his own Delete International Records. The release, described as a “poetic single,” includes both the original mix and an acapella version.
Clark, who began producing music at 15, cites influences such as Prince, Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, and Al Green. Over the years, his voice has been featured on tracks by Fatboy Slim, Armand Van Helden, and David Guetta, while his productions have spanned labels including Get Physical Music, Toolroom, Deepalma, LW Recordings, Armada Music, and Confession.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, Clark says, “My inspiration came from a dream I had, where I was the DJ and everyone on the dancefloor at the same time.”
Looking ahead, Clark plans to spend his birthday in Colombia later this year and hopes to return for a New Year’s Eve performance.
