Sol Selectas welcomes French Afro-house artist Safar back with his latest three-track EP ‘Majaneen’.
This is the second solo EP by Safar, ‘Majaneen,’ with the label, and he has also contributed a remix for ARKADYAN and released solo tracks on several Sol Selectas compilations. As a core member of the Sol Selectas family, Safar continues to impress with his unique blend of electronic music influenced by his European roots and the rich, tribal rhythms of his African heritage.
Safar is known for his vibrant and upbeat style, which combines percussive elements with organic sounds and mesmerizing synths. The new EP opens with ‘Majaneen,’ a track that features shuffling percussion and triplet synths, blended with traditional African string instruments and organic flutes. ‘Laafou’ follows, bringing funky bass chords, live congas, and powerful Gnawa vocals that fill the track with emotion and energy. The EP concludes with ‘Escalera,’ a piece characterized by its deep bassline, pitched tom drums, and dramatic bass chords, culminating in a sun-drenched breakdown that releases a burst of exhilarating energy.
