‘Big Talk’ the scorchingly club-ready song from Solardo and Idris Elba, sets the sonic tone for bass-forward house music for the upcoming year.

In their latest song, Solardo collaborates with Idris Elba for the first time, dimming the lights for a sultry production that has already caught the attention of many. The new release’s undeniable rhythm and equally hypnotic hook-carry the song’s playful dirty weight, but if it were left at that, the sexy nuance and swollen basslines would be undermined. The new song from Solardo & Idris Elba, which not only talks the talk but also walks the walk, is on Ultra Records along with an equally captivating music video.

The UK’s Solardo has long demonstrated their ability to be musical chameleons by refusing to be pigeonholed into any one dance genre, resulting in a growing discography that is as remarkably varied as it is seamless. It is evident that Solardo simply cannot fail, as evidenced by the Trance-inspired I Can’t Waitthat he co-wrote with Tiësto and Poppy Baskcomb, the underground techno Beatport favorite Riser and the 2019 update of Marshall Jefferson‘s classic Move Your Bodywhich keeps getting better and better.

After focusing more on his musical career, Idris Elba has released a number of critically acclaimed songs with artists including David Guetta, The Knocks, ARTBAT, Inner City, and most recently Solardo. Idris Elba’s contribution to ‘Big Talk’ demonstrates that he is equally at home in the club as he is on the big screen, with a sound that is as bright and varied as that of his creative collaborators for this release.

We met Idris in Las Vegas back in 2017 where we played back to back at EDC and we hit it off and kept in contact. We heard Idris on a track and saw him play a few sets, and as we are huge fans, we thought it would be cool to do a track together. Overall, it probably took a year or so going back and forth with ideas which were both reflective of our styles. We wanted the track to both sit in the underground market as well as being a little more accessible to the larger audience. I think we did that with ‘Big Talk’ and now we’re buzzing to have it being released!
