LA-based DJ The Archer releases a new hypnotic and soothing track via Octopus Records.

It’s astonishing to find out that Octopus Records, the label started by LA DJ Sian, delivered its 251st release. Among the numerous artists signed to the label, The Archer, another LA native, emerged as one to watch quite recently. Back in 2021, Archer released his debut EP ‘Lonely Dream‘ and got everyone’s eyes and ears on him rather quickly. Soo after, he formed his own imprint, There Is A Light, and started signing other talented emerging artists as well. All the while, Archer kept releasing music himself, with a promise of diversity, quality, and integrity in all his output.

As of lately, Archer released a new single on Octopus, titled ‘Free Your Mind’, as the aforementioned label’s 251st release. ‘Free Your Mind’ starts with a deep, pulsating beat and a hypnotic bass groove you could easily mistake for heartbeats. Synths that appear on the track feel super melodic and any percussion you hear sounds majorly urgent, relaying racing energy. Lastly, vocals present themselves early on and frequently, delivered in a very hypnotic, trance-like vibe, yet still feel tremendously beautiful. Overall, “Free Your Mind” feels like a homage to the great 90s EDM without feeling entirely like a complete throwback.

The Archer managed to make himself an important name to keep an eye out for with his stand-out discography. If it all works out, maybe Archer will become a legend in the EDM world just as fast.
