Today, Tim Green returns to Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream label, releasing a new single, ‘Lune’, and announcing his mini-LP, Eastbound Silhouettes, to be released October 28. The mini-LP will contain six tracks, Tim’s largest body of work on All Day I Dream to date.
A serene track with a duration of nine and a half minutes is called “Lune.” Tim starts the song with simple percussion, gradually adding more drum sounds, and then layers in an ethereal melody. Nothing in the song is rushed. Optimistic notes flutter over Tim’s steady drumbeat as the song progresses. About halfway through the song, the throbbing melody is separated, provoking a sense of curiosity. Tim then uses the identical percussion rhythm from the song’s opening to close out the song, which is followed by reassuring confidence.
I’m extremely excited to have this release come out, what I think of as a Mini-album! Six tracks which I hope take the listener on a mini journey! Some dance floor, some more home listening. But it’s an honour to be back on All Day I Dream, a place I call home and my family.
