Far&High’s label Unheard Music returns with its second release, “Your Retreat,” a collaboration between Malandra Jr. and one of the label’s founders, pizzaaftersex. The single arrived last Friday, February 27, continuing the imprint’s mission to champion music that is uncompromising, experimental, and rooted in underground club culture.
Launched last year, Unheard Music was created to give artists complete creative freedom. The label operates with two guiding principles: the music must remain dancefloor-ready while pushing beyond an artist’s usual sonic identity.

Italian artist Malandra Jr., originally a clarinet player, entered the electronic music world driven by a deep passion for sound and experimentation. His approach aligns closely with the label’s philosophy of authenticity over trends.
The original mix blends Malandra Jr.’s driving drum work with pizzaaftersex’s atmospheric and melodic synth design, building a track that balances energy with emotion. The release also includes remixes that expand the record’s reach: Musumeci adds an Italo indie dance flavor, while Kirik delivers a darker, club-focused reinterpretation. A VIP mix rounds out the package, emphasizing the uplifting melody and a broader bassline.
Behind the alias pizzaaftersex is an experienced producer and sound designer who previously released “Rabbit Hole” with Far&High. Reflecting on the release, he described the collaboration as “an extremely positive experience,” hoping listeners can feel the different shades of the project.
Created between Italy and Dubai, the collaboration was built on mutual respect and a shared creative spark. According to Malandra Jr., the track began with a melody that immediately inspired him to shape something light, vibrant, and enjoyable.
Looking ahead, Unheard Music plans to expand beyond releases, introducing new formats including guest mixes, video content, and off-site sessions in unique locations.
