Following Viv Castle‘s previous release, “Catch” on V55Records, he’s back with “Lovely Day”—a high-energy weapon built for the dancefloor. Just last month, during our interview, Viv Castle revealed details about his studio process and upcoming releases.

With a growing catalog of tracks, the British DJ/Producer is already enjoying global recognition from none other than Solomun. His standout releases on Insomniac’s IN/ROTATION, Spinnin’s SPRS, and labels like Diynamic and Circus Recordings have racked up over 1.5 million Spotify streams, climbing high on Beatport charts and earning support from industry heavyweights like Pete Tong, Benny Benassi, and Mark Knight.

He’s also become a regular on BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM. As a seasoned selector, Viv dominates Atlanta’s top venues—including District, Believe, and Imagine Music Festival—while gearing up for his upcoming U.S. summer tour.

Speaking about “Lovely Day” the track features a high-octane beat, a rolling bassline, an infectious melody, and nostalgic vocals. From the very first second, we got goosebumps as the melody came in, layered with those throwback vocals.

“I’ve been on a journey between House and Techno recently, especially with a nostalgic nod to 90s raves and those iconic stabby synths that defined so many tracks back then,” Viv shares.”

We were especially curious about the melody, so we asked Viv about it.

“Melodies can definitely be tricky. In this case, I actually started by building the groove and laying in the vocals first. Once I had that foundation, I could start experimenting with synths until I found the right sounds and chord progression to match the vibe — especially for the stabs and bassline. It was all about balancing that old-school rave energy with something modern and driving.”

It’s safe to say this is another masterpiece from the British artist.
