The Swiss DJ/producers Yvan Genkins and Mendo team up again, bringing three vibrant tracks to Jamie JonesHot Creations out today.

With over two decades of experience in the electronic music scene, Clarisse Records label head Mendo has been stamping his groove-led sound across top labels like Knee Deep In Sound, Crosstown Rebels, and Defected. Previously appearing on Jones’ label for remix duties for Danny Tenaglia’s ‘Don’t Turn Your Back’, the Geneva-based DJ/producer now returns alongside fellow Swiss artist Yvan Genkins for their first collaboration in seven years. Known for their dynamic synergy, the pair combine Mendo’s warmth and emotive precision with Yvan’s raw, punchy energy to deliver their latest EP, ‘Everybody’, landing on Hot Creations.

‘Everybody’ opens the release with deep, funk-laced strings, sparkling percussion, and tough kicks that set the stage for a rousing club track. ‘Chakaboo’ then takes over with rumbling bass frequencies, enhanced by a modular flair, rolling hi-hats, and tricky, shifting rhythms. To close, ‘My Precious’ explores a more textured sound, weaving together layered drum kicks and groovy, trippy synth stabs over an upbeat, playful house groove.
