Australian producer 1tbsp returns with new single “Rush (Missing Out On Me),” featuring cherry chola and Purient. Out now via Sumoclic, the track marks his first release of the year, following “Wet Peak Stars.”
1tbsp is the house-leaning alias of Brisbane artist Maxwell Byrne, also known for his work as Golden Vessel. The project was born out of tracks he started making for his DJ nights, Sumoclic Nights, back in 2019.
In 2021, he introduced 1tbsp with the debut EP kanashī via Sumoclic, the label he runs with longtime collaborator Akurei (Connor Grant). The EP picked up momentum fast, racking up over 3.6 million Spotify streams.
“Rush (Missing Out On Me)” is a high-energy cut laced with playful vocals, funky guitar riffs, and hypnotic synths—it’s a proper dancefloor mood.
1tbsp has also announced his “hotel living / australian tour” kicking off in May. He’ll then head to North America in June, supporting Disclosure in Salt Lake City and playing sets at both Electric Forest (Michigan) and Shambhala (British Columbia).
