For some, music might be just a casual hobby — but for Los Angeles–based artist Hayes Bradley, it’s his world, his passion, and his love. Today, the musician celebrates the release of his new single “Total Call”, out now via Los Angeles label Stratasonic.

Hayes Bradley began writing and making music in high school, where he also attended music school. He’s not only a recording artist but also a composer for film and television, and he’s created sound design for major fashion brands like Chanel and Saint Laurent. Last year, he released a seven-track album, Recommence (I/VII).

His new single “Total Call” grabs you instantly — from the first second, an electric bassline riff pulls you in. It’s a mix of gritty guitar basslines, nostalgic breakbeats, futuristic synth bleeps, and shimmering chords.

For the first half, the track is loud, aggressive, yet irresistibly captivating. Then, halfway through, everything shifts — the guitar fades, and we’re left floating with a solitary bassline accompanied by a breakbeat.

Beneath the dynamic arrangement lies a deeper meaning. As Bradley explains:

“‘Total Call’ is personal chaos. Chaos, most people try to mask by acting normal. If you’re crying or fucked up or panicking in public, you try and cover it up. I think everyone should just lean into whatever they are feeling and care less about the people staring back.”
