Australian producer ZUSO has teamed up with Alté and soul/pop singer Beckah Amani for his new single, “Close To Heaven.” The track is taken from ZUSO’s forthcoming album, set for release in January.
ZUSO’s previous collaborations include “Make Me Feel” with Sydney producer Maver, “Hurting” with Melbourne artist Keelan Mak, and “Erase You” featuring Melbourne singer Matilda Pearl.
The producer describes “Close To Heaven” as one of the most soulful songs he has ever made. The concept began nearly a year ago, with ZUSO experimenting with chords on the piano. After multiple tweaks and studio sessions with Beckah Amani, the track naturally evolved into something both artists recognized as special.
Beckah recalls her first reaction to the demo: “It made me feel like I was flying or traveling through the galaxy to get to heaven.”
ZUSO adds, “Everything just worked so well, and we both knew we’d made something great.”
You can buy the single on Apple Music.
