Forty Cats is set to release her new Calvera Vacuum EP this Thursday, June 11, via her imprint PURRFECTION. Marking the label’s milestone 50th release, the EP also features remixes from Redspace and Anton Make. Today, we are premiering one of its highlights, “Calvera,” offering an exclusive first listen below.

Forty Cats has established herself as one of the genre’s most respected names. Her breakthrough arrived with releases on Lane 8’s This Never Happened imprint, followed by a steady stream of acclaimed records on labels including Sudbeat, The Soundgarden, Mango Alley, Manual Music, Juicebox Music, Monstercat Silk, and many more. Along the way, her productions have earned support from artists such as Lane 8, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Yotto, Above & Beyond, Eelke Kleijn, and Paul Oakenfold.

“Calvera” captures the essence of Forty Cats’ signature sound. Built around a deep, hypnotic groove, the track layers organic textures, shuffling hats, and a fluid bassline beneath dreamy synth work that gradually unfolds throughout the arrangement. Subtle melodic details and evolving atmospheres give the production a sense of movement and emotion, creating an immersive listening experience equally suited for intimate moments and late-night dancefloors.

Calvera Vacuum EP is out June 11 via PURRFECTION. Pre-order the release here, and enjoy an exclusive first listen below.
