Greek-Italian artist Iatria is set to release her debut single “Aionia” next week, July 17. Today, we are premiering the track, offering an exclusive first listen below.

Raised between Greek and Italian cultures, Iatria draws inspiration from both sides of her heritage. Written in Griko, an endangered dialect still spoken in parts of Southern Italy, “Aionia” reflects on the enduring connection between language, culture, and identity. The title, derived from the Greek word for eternity, explores the idea of continuity across generations through a contemporary electronic lens.

“Aionia” opens with filtered percussion, organic drums, a rhythmic bassline, and the warm tones of a delicate flute. As the arrangement unfolds, layered organic textures and melodic synths gradually emerge, while Iatria’s captivating vocals in Griko bring an emotional depth that gives the track its distinctive character.

“Aionia” is out July 17. Pre-order the release here, and enjoy an exclusive first listen below.
