Gorkiz and André Moret are set to release their new single “Prowess” this Friday, August 28, via Routine Espresso Recordings, accompanied by a progressive remix from STEREO MUNK. Today, we are premiering the original mix of “Prowess,” offering an exclusive first listen below.
Brazilian producer Gorkiz has built a reputation for his deep, hypnotic, and emotional approach to progressive house, with releases on labels including Incorrect Groove, Hiato Music, Songuara Tales, Nightcolours, Kodai, Warung Recordings, and Kitchen Recordings.
André Moret has also established himself within the progressive house and techno scene, with releases on The Soundgarden, Clubsonica, Plattenbank, OneDotsixtwo, Balkan Connection, and Dopamine Records, earning support from names including Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, John Digweed, Sebastien Leger, and Khen.
“Prowess” gradually unfolds from deep hypnotic grooves and a smooth kick drum into a rolling low-end, filtered arpeggios, and delicate plucked melodies. As the arrangement develops, open-filtered melodies and shifting bass notes add momentum, before a soulful breakdown brings high-pitched synth chords and an echoed lead melody together, setting the stage for an atmospheric return to the groove.
“Prowess” is out August 28 via Routine Espresso Recordings. Pre-order the release here, and enjoy an exclusive first listen below.
