Greece-based producer and DJ Atsou has teamed up with Istanbul-based artist Marc Gonen for their new EP Let’s Celebrate, released May 15 via Madorasindahouse. The two-track project is led by “Let It Happen,” an official reimagining of Vangelis’ 1973 record “Let It Go.”
Atsou first discovered club culture in 2007, developing a passion for soulful sounds across disco, deep house, and Afro house. Since then, the Greek artist has performed internationally in cities and countries including London, Istanbul, Mexico, and the Netherlands, while also helping shape the direction of Madorasindahouse as one of the leading labels in the Afro house scene.

Marc Gonen has steadily built momentum over the past several years with support from names including Adriatique, Dixon, DJ Koze, CamelPhat, and Keinemusik. He has also shared stages with artists such as &ME, Adam Port, and Mano Le Tough, while preparing for a busy summer schedule and his first vinyl release arriving in June.
“Let It Happen” opens the EP with preserved Vangelis vocals layered over a disco-inspired groove, crisp kick drums, tribal percussion, airy snares, and a funky rolling bassline accented by electric guitar riffs. As the arrangement unfolds, the vocals gradually build momentum through atmospheric transitions and evolving percussion work.
The second track, “Celebrate,” leans into a deeper and more melodic direction, centered around a poignant bassline, filtered piano chords, orchestral strings, and shuffling hats. The track slowly strips back its elements during the breakdown before introducing gliding plucked synth textures in the second drop, giving the arrangement a smooth and progressive lift.
