Following his previous release on February 26, “do it like that,” Connor Grant, aka HARLEY GIRL, shares his latest single “Jump!” This track is from his upcoming EP legitimate dj behaviour, due later this year.
Released via the Sumoclic label, the single is all about dynamic beats, a pulsing bassline, and pitched vocal chops. It’s a highly infectious dance club track—straight-up playlist material.
Although it was produced in just a few hours, Connor spent several months tweaking and finalizing the details.
The bassline was made using the sample library Splice. Connor shares, “From memory, the baseline was repurposed from a Splice sample. I had chopped it up, but I wasn’t super stoked on the tone, so I rerecorded it.”
It’s safe to say that HARLEY GIRL is an exciting project. His music is outstanding and guaranteed to make you dance.
